Laura Humphreys
In 2003 Laura studied A level Business Studies at Herefordshire and Ludlow College, which then inspired her to go on and study Association of Accounting Technicians. Laura came to work in our accounts department at Honddu in 2015. She was born and raised in the Herefordshire village of Bredwardine. Laura loves going for long walks and spending time with her three nephews.

Sam Jones
Born in Brecon, from Hay-on-Wye originally and living in Velindre. Worked for JAO Davies vets for 5 years, before starting at Honddu in August 2006. Studied Animal Care at Holme Lacy and achieved NVQ Level 2. Sam is our Head receptionist at the practice and loves debt collecting! She is also qualified in first aid for those emergency situations. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding.

Kirstie Pritchard
Qualified Level 4 Accounting Technician in 2009. Has worked at Honddu since 2003. Born in Putney, London and then moved to Brecon when she was 3 years old. Kirstie has two sons; Garth and Cain. Kirstie does all the paperwork for our client’s insurance claims and enjoys working front of house and greeting people in particular. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to music gigs and concerts and spending time with her two boys. She also loves wine and Gin!

Cerys Lewis
Cerys is a farmer’s daughter from Heol Senni. She started working for us in June 2016 as a member of the reception team. In her spare time, Cerys helps out on the family farm and also has a passion for showing her Brecknock hill cheviot sheep, attending many local shows.

Caroline Davies
Caroline has been working for the practice for 9 years. She currently keeps track of all the TB testing and organises and arranges the vets’ tests for them, whilst also helping out on reception when things get a little busy. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and walking her two spaniels Paddy and Rio.

Jenny Lewis
Jen has kept the practice looking presentable and immaculate for the last 8 years.

Angie Price
Angie was born in Brecon, but now resides in Llanigon. Angie worked for over 10 years as a veterinary nurse at Harries & Thomas and Beacons Vets. She then took a break to have children and returned to the profession on a part-time basis, to practice in Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. She now enjoys working as a receptionist here at Honddu, where she is happy meeting new people and chatting to clients, old and new. In her spare time, she loves hill-walking, running, cycling and gardening. She is also a member of the Hay Hotfooters Running Club and the Welsh Fell Running Association. Angie is married to Russ and has three teenage boys and a gorgeous little Jack Russel called Buster.

Chloe Harris
Born and raised on the family farm in Llangattock. Joined the practice toward the end of 2019 as a receptionist, after completing an FdSc in Equine Studies at Aberystwyth University. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with friends, horse riding and being at home with her animals on the family farm. Chloe also likes to travel and see different parts of the world. Her favourite part of her job is meeting new clients and their animals and generally being part of the veterinary team.
Jess Hughes
Jess is from Rhayader, she studied at Brecon college and then joined the practice toward the end of 2019 as a receptionist. She also works on a free range poultry farm and helps out on the family farm. She has a keen interest in poultry and has a variety of breeds of chicken at home too. Jess enjoys going to the gym and exercising in her spare time. At work, she likes the interaction with the clients and also seeing their pets.
